(Breaking News) HYBE files a complaint against CEO Min Hee-jin... Evidence obtained of conversations about "taking NewJeans away

The largest K-pop agency, HYBE, announced the findings of an internal audit regarding its subsidiary ADOR, which is suspected of attempting to seize control, stating that they will submit a complaint on the 25th.

On the 25th, HYBE revealed, "We have confirmed specific facts and secured physical evidence showing that ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin led a plan to seize management control." They added, "One of the audit targets submitted information assets during the investigation, acknowledging that a plan to seize control, including contacting external investors, was created and documents were drafted to target HYBE."

According to face-to-face interviews and conversations in the submitted information assets, CEO Min instructed management to find ways to pressure HYBE to sell its stake in ADOR.

Specific discussions on how to achieve this included methods such as terminating artists' exclusive contracts prematurely and nullifying contracts between the ADOR CEO and HYBE. Furthermore, statements like "Let's raise global funds and deal with HYBE," "Critically appeal against everything HYBE does," and "Think of ways to trouble HYBE" were mentioned.

The recorded conversations also contained specific action plans such as "Prepare for a public relations battle in May" and "Make ADOR an empty shell and take it away."

HYBE said, "We have also secured statements from audit targets indicating that the phrase 'Ultimately leave HYBE' was a note taken from the ADOR CEO's words." They added, "HYBE intends to file a complaint on the 25th based on this information, accusing related parties of business malpractice and other charges."

Going forward, HYBE will provide full support for the successful comeback and emotional and psychological care of the NewJeans members. They also plan to meet with the legal representatives of the members to discuss ways to protect them as soon as possible.

HYBE CEO Park Ji-won said, "We apologize to the fans, artists, and employees for causing concern due to incidents arising from the process of advancing the multi-label system," and added, "Now that the situation has been resolved, we will focus on providing psychological healing and emotional stability for our artists, who are valuable assets to K-pop.

THE COMMENTS:
  1. Preparing for a PR battle in May? Were they planning to stir public opinion in May, but HYBE got wind of it and acted first? But doesn't NewJeans have a comeback scheduled? That's crazy... They said she was like a mother to them.
  2. It looks like I’LL-IT was just an excuse. What did they do to those young kids? That's so messed up...
  3. So they were planning a public relations battle in May after NewJeans' comeback...? Given the timing and the context, it seems like HYBE knew exactly what was going on and launched the audit at the perfect moment... Min Hee-jin must've been living off her own hype, but now everything's coming out.
  4. If it's not about stirring controversy, then don't leave comments like 'Take care of NewJeans,' 'Stay strong,' or 'Support minors' in related posts. Why are you trying to frame them as victims? Their parents were complicit from the start, so they're in the same boat. Just stop trying to act like they're helpless and stay quiet.
  5. Even if Bang Si-hyuk loses faith in humanity, I get it.
  6. NewJeans is one thing—some of them are still minors—but the parents really need to make sure they're making the right decisions and acting properly.
  7. If the parents drag things out or get too involved, NewJeans might go down with them. If they don't make a statement distancing themselves from any drama, especially about grabbing junior idols by the hair, they're going to get stuck with controversy forever.
  8. NewJeans' activities will continue as planned under HYBE, so they're going to carry on with their schedule. The issue is that in ADOR's statement, they mentioned that the members and their legal guardians agreed, and this part is causing problems and keeps getting brought up. Given how things are unfolding, they might release a statement saying they were unaware, didn't understand, or were deceived to gain some sympathy—or they might stick to their original story. Surely, there's precedent for this. Meanwhile, I feel bad for I'll-IT, who got dragged into this mess. Turns out, behind that youthful image, things were completely different.
  9. The planned PR battle in May, huh? Good thing everything blew up now. At least it's a small silver lining in the midst of this mess.
  10. Feels like another Fifty Fifty situation.
  11. Things have gotten this serious—I really hope NewJeans makes the right choices, for real. 😢
  12. But can you actually punish someone just for planning something? Since yesterday, the news has been all about someone's personal writings and plans. Is this just a matter of holding a grudge?
  13. Looks like Min Hee-jin is about to become the former CEO, haha.
  14. Wow, that’s straight-up a crime.
  15. I'm more worried about I'll-IT now. I hope they focus more on caring for them.
  16. The more we uncover, the more astonishing it gets.
  17. Apologize to I'll-IT and leave.
  18. NewJeans really crossed the line, huh? Ugh.
  19. Seems like they completely forgot that their success came from being part of HYBE's label.
