Last year when HYBE quickly created an official account, thinking they were going to successfully acquire SM.

An announcement was made by SM Entertainment on March 2, 2023, even though the acquisition wasn't confirmed yet.

Then on March 12, 2023, in the battle between Kakao and HYBE, Kakao won, leading to SM being acquired by Kakao.

As the management dispute between SM Entertainment ('SM Ent.') and HYBE continues, HYBE has created a campaign channel to solicit proxy votes for the upcoming general shareholders' meeting on the 31st.

The channel HYBE established on the 2nd is called "SM with HYBE." HYBE criticized the business partnership agreement made between SM Ent.'s current management and Kakao, highlighting the contract's unfairness and the unrealistic financial goals of "SM 3.0." To promote greater transparency in management, HYBE created this channel. HYBE explained, "We decided to initiate this shareholder proposal campaign based on our judgment that SM Ent.'s current management is severely infringing on shareholder value."

On the same day, HYBE also released a video on its website outlining its vision, strategy, and distribution policies for the future of SM Ent. In summary, HYBE reiterated the synergy generated through cooperation with SM Ent.

In the video, Lee Jae-sang, a HYBE director candidate, stated that HYBE has experience operating various types of successful labels, including acquired labels (Pledis Entertainment), newly established labels (ADOR), and existing labels (Big Hit Music). This experience, Lee mentioned, makes HYBE the optimal partner to understand the direction of "SM 3.0."

Furthermore, HYBE set up an electronic proxy page on the newly established website to allow individual shareholders to easily delegate their voting rights.
