[1 Year of Hybe Incident] Hybe without New jeans, Shouts ‘One Team’

HYBE Shouts "One Team" Without NewJeans in the Lineup of Their Girl Groups

HYBE’s chairman Bang Si-hyuk shouted “One Team” with his girl group lineup — but without NewJeans.

On April 22, Bang Si-hyuk posted a photo on his social media showing the female idols from HYBE’s labels gathered together. The picture included members of LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE, all posing with him. It appears the photo was taken right after LE SSERAFIM’s concert at Incheon Inspire Arena over the weekend.

At first glance, it looks like a typical group photo from an agency. However, attention was drawn to the caption Bang added: “United” and “One Team,” seemingly proud that the girl groups under HYBE had gathered together.

Strictly speaking, not all of HYBE’s girl groups were present. NewJeans, under the sub-label ADOR, which is currently in a dispute with HYBE, were absent. The members have expressed their desire to work independently, breaking away from both HYBE and ADOR. Amidst this tension, Bang Si-hyuk wrote just two words: “One Team.”

From Bang’s perspective, it may be a “One Team,” but it’s hard to ignore the sense of frustration this might bring to NewJeans and their fandom, Bunnies.

NewJeans has effectively fallen out of HYBE’s favor. It’s been a year since they split from the company, and they haven’t been active recently. Legal rulings have barred them from using a new team name or launching new activities, leaving them in limbo.

NewJeans had outperformed other HYBE girl groups like LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT in album sales and were a major contributor to the label’s revenue boost. Still, they’ve been left alone, unable to reconcile with HYBE or Chairman Bang.

Amid this situation, almost like marking the one-year anniversary of the HYBE controversy, Bang appeared at LE SSERAFIM’s concert and declared “One Team” with the other HYBE artists. Coincidentally, Bang has worked on LE SSERAFIM’s albums from their debut up to the latest release. And once again, standing next to him was not NewJeans, but LE SSERAFIM.

COMMENTS :

  1. Do they still think articles like this will work? LOL
  2. NewJeans had much higher album sales than LE SSERAFIM or ILLIT and helped bring in huge profits, yet they’re the ones left behind. This tone is so emotional.
  3. They chose to leave — why act frustrated now? Just focus on the lawsuit lol.
  4. What’s the point? They didn’t want to stay.
  5. Here we go again. No one kicked them out — they voluntarily left. If they returned, they could be “One Team,” but they’re the ones who walked away. What frustration? Who wrote this?
  6. NewJeans left on their own lol. They don’t like HYBE — what do you want? Just pay the penalty and leave for good. Never go back to HYBE.
  7. They seem to be doing PR again — maybe use that money for the penalty instead lol.
  8. They clearly said they don’t want to be part of it.
  9. They’re the ones who said they didn’t want to be part of the group — why are they now acting disappointed?
  10. What are you saying lol? They said no — are you mad that HYBE is doing fine without NewJeans?
  11. They didn’t want to be part of HYBE — stop dragging other groups into this. What a rude article (I’m not even a fan of any of those three groups).
  12. I’m not a fan of those three, but the tone of this article is really annoying.
  13. Even before this, ADOR never joined those group photos.
  14. They’re the ones who said they were leaving and called it a “revolution,” right?
  15. What frustration? They chose to leave — they weren’t kicked out.
  16. Go continue the revolution lol. Didn’t they say they hate HYBE?
  17. This article is biased toward NewJeans.
  18. ADOR asked them to come back — so why???
  19. If they wanted a picture, they could’ve joined.
  20. They weren’t left behind — they refused to return. What’s up with this article?
  21. They said they wanted to leave HYBE — what now?
  22. They want to leave HYBE without paying the penalty lol.
  23. Didn’t they leave on their own?
  24. NewJeans fans are the same. They’re insulting other girl groups over this group photo…
  25. You say you don’t like HYBE, you’re in a lawsuit, but now they have to beg you to take a photo together? Princess syndrome, much? lol
  26. They chose to drop out, and even then kept correcting everyone to say they’re not HYBE but ADOR — what do you expect?
  27. This is the same writer as this article: [link]
  28. They made themselves outsiders — what are they complaining about?
  29. And now they’re dragging other girl groups into this again.
  30. Maybe they used this chance to strengthen unity now that NewJeans is out — not a bad thing.
  31. You said you don’t want to be a team, then complain you’re not included?
  32. They literally announced they’re inactive — should they have been begged to come take a photo anyway? lol.
